Ducking Ducks by Meisselschieber

Regular visitors might recognise the pictures used in this video. This is how we sound without the processing and collage work I did on the other tracks.

In and around the Aura

The Aura being our local river. Blessed is Turku, indeed, for it has a peaceful Aura that rarely floods it's streets.

When life hands you lemons

Can't leave the house. The swine flu vaccine hit me pretty hard. So I'm reduced to sharing the view from my window again.

Dinosauruxia at Dynamo

Good gig, if a bit too quiet. The drunks having a conversation in the middle of the audience were somewhat distracting at times. Legal decibel limits don't apply to them, unfortunately. The limited colour palette got to me, so I played with the emboss effect on some of these to add variety.
Oh, and this reminds me why I stopped drawing portraits. I uglify even the prettiest heads.

Simulated painting

These amuse me as I just thought of the way these could be, ahem, 'conceptualised' for the international art market: Take these photographs and copy them meticulously in oil colours, like the photorealists of the 1970s, by projecting them onto canvas and copying them dot for dot...
The attendant fifty page essay with semi-random quotes by Derrida, Barthes and Marx goes without saying.

The less said...

I used to dislike abstract art because it said so little on a psychological, narrative and political level. Well, it's not that I've changed my mind, but being a thoroughly undiplomatic person, I have lost enough friends already by saying too much. So it pleases me to say as little as possible for a change.
All of these are, as usual, live photographs taken without any post-processing with a shaken camera and exposure times of 1-5 seconds.

In the neighbourhood

A short walk through Varissuo.
