Hmm, making collages out of mostly abstract material sort of loses the main point of the genre, which to me looks to be interesting juxtapositions of meaningful pictures to create new meanings. Like this, I'm just losing the unified colours my photos had until now, turning them into even more of a mess! Well, frankly speaking, that makes me happy. Never claimed to be sane...
I really like collage art and these images are great. I agree that representational pieces probably work better in collages than abstract things, though of course the results can become quite abstract.
