This is so much fun that it probably counts as a minor sin in many churches. And a major one in others. Chaim Soutine was beaten mercilessly throughout his childhood for making drawings. There are iconoclastic strains in all three major monotheistic religions. I probably have forefathers who participated in the destruction of art when Finland was switched to Lutheran protestantism by Swedish royal decree.
